The Need for Transformative Leadership in Strategic Enrollment Management
Emery, Lisa
Strategic Enrollment Management Quarterly, v8 n3 p3-10 Oct 2020
Significant impending changes in the demographics of the college-going population will require higher education institutions to adjust admissions policies and student success initiatives in their strategic enrollment management plans. The role of the chief enrollment management officer (CEMO) will be examined for its potential to shape policies around access and equity within an institution using transformative leadership theory. It is predicted that there could be up to 750 vacant CEMO positions within the next few years, creating an opportunity for higher education institutions to bring transformative leaders into this role.
