Yan, Chaoyun
International Journal of Early Years Education, v13 n2 p145-156 Jun 2005
"Naive theory" is the explanation and interpretation given by young children according to their understanding of the world. It has significant applications in early childhood education. Valuable applications include evoking and challenging children's naive theory in educational activities. Pedagogical strategies and educational cases are provided in this thesis. A model of kindergarten curriculum development is suggested based on our recognition and appreciation of children's naive theory.
