Presents the findings of the Modern Language Association 1994-95 survey furnishing data on the number of postsecondary institutions with college-wide foreign language requirements either for entrance or completion of a program. Findings indicate that degree requirements in foreign languages are more prevalent at large four-year institutions with independent language units than at smaller institutions. (3 references) (CK)
