Teenagers responded to a questionnaire about their villains; 917 villains from all walks of life were selected. Nine times more male than female figures were selected. The naming of a villain was unrelated to demographic variables. Reasons for dislike and influence of figures as avoidance role models are discussed. (Author/EMK)

Psychotherapists' (N=169) responses to a questionnaire indicated a preference of a female therapist for young, female, adolescent clients, and especially in short-term or crisis intervention therapy. In long-term therapy all differences between male and female therapists disappeared except for role modeling. (RC)

Studied high school students' (N=31) perceptions of significant adults as well as possible relationships between facets of alienation. Results showed parents were the adults most frequently named as significant. Teachers were not often chosen.
