Examines feasibility of using a new theoretical model to determine the association between parenting factors and conduct disorder in Jamaican male adolescents. Discusses issues within the framework of family, peer group, and biological factors associated with conduct disorder. Significant family factors associated with the emergence of conduct disorder included families with absent mothers, and children experiencing low contact with their parents. (Author/JDM)
