Examines Dutch adolescents' (N=1,914) attitudes toward delinquency, specifically the degree to which they find norm violations acceptable. Results show that violent delinquents were significantly more tolerant of violent behavior as compared with nondelinquents, with one exception: when injury was inflicted on someone they knew, they were as little inclined to excuse the perpetrator as were nondelinquents.
