Adolescents were pretested on the power and accuracy of tennis strokes and their state of self-actualization before and after each four-week camp session. Comparison of campers' scores indicated positive change in both areas in respect to session one, but no significant changes were evident for campers in session two. (Author/DB)

Describes the Stanford Adolescent Weight Loss Camp, which taught eating and exercise skills to 25 overweight adolescents. At posttreatment, reductions were achieved in weight, with improved habits and weight management concepts. Parent and participant assessment of the camp was very positive. (JAC)

This report on the Michigan Youth Services Boys Camping Program suggests substantial attitudinal and behavioral improvement for all groups of participants: achievers, predelinquents, expelled/suspended, and delinquent wards of the court.
