Courses in intercultural drug use, tailored to individual cultures, are recommended to enhance pharmacy students' understanding of the influential role of cultural aspects of health care in patients' health care decisions. At the University of California-San Francisco, a multidisciplinary teaching group from dentistry, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social/behavioral sciences leads a multidisciplinary student team in a clinical experience in a nursing home.
