van der Linden, Wim J. – Applied Psychological Measurement, 2009
An adaptive testing method is presented that controls the speededness of a test using predictions of the test takers' response times on the candidate items in the pool. Two different types of predictions are investigated: posterior predictions given the actual response times on the items already administered and posterior predictions that use the…

Maij-de Meij, Annette M.; Kelderman, Henk; van der Flier, Henk – Applied Psychological Measurement, 2008
Mixture item response theory (IRT) models aid the interpretation of response behavior on personality tests and may provide possibilities for improving prediction. Heterogeneity in the population is modeled by identifying homogeneous subgroups that conform to different measurement models. In this study, mixture IRT models were applied to the…

Ferrando, Pere J.; Lorenzo, Urbano; Molina, Gabriel – Applied Psychological Measurement, 2001
Developed an item response theory model of response stability based on the local independence principle. Tested the model, which predicts response changes under repeated administrations of the same instrument, with real data for 432 Spanish undergraduates. Results indicate that the model predictions are approximately fulfilled. (SLD)

Raju, Nambury S.; And Others – Applied Psychological Measurement, 1991
A two-parameter logistic regression model for personnel selection is proposed. The model was tested with a database of 84,808 military enlistees. The probability of job success was related directly to trait levels, addressing such topics as selection, validity generalization, employee classification, selection bias, and utility-based fair…
