Teacher Stress: Prevalence, Sources and Symptoms

A questionnaire survey of 257 teachers in 16 medium-sized, mixed comprehensive schools in England was used to investigate the prevalence, sources, and symptoms of stress. Implicit in the research design was the assumption that teachers are able to provide valid reports of the sources of experienced stress. (Editor/RK)

A Typology of Teaching Styles in Primary Schools

Differences in teaching styles have conventionally been described in terms of ill-defined dichotomies. The aim of the present study was to provide a more adequate representation of teaching practices by creating a typology based on the self-reported strategies of primary school teachers. (Editor)
