Bibliographic Instruction: The Views of Academic, Special, and Public Librarians.
Harris, Roma M.
College and Research Libraries, v53 n3 p249-56 May 1992
This survey of 288 academic, public, and special librarians in Canada examined attitudes toward the role of bibliographic instruction in reference service. Results indicated that academic librarians stress instruction, special librarians stress information delivery, and public librarians fall between the two positions. It was found that bibliographic instruction is largely unregulated in terms of library policy and professional training. (MES)
