Drug programs are changing from legalistic, pharmacological, factual presentations to humanistic, experimentally based inquiry formats. The study reported here describes a humanistic/inquiry approach field tested in a middle school and demonstrating the success of curricula providing for decision making, self-concept enhancement, and interpersonal relationship activities facilitated by trained and committed teachers.
