Parents' Perceptions of Planning for and Provision of Early Childhood Services in Rural and Regional NSW.
Simpson, Tracey
Education in Rural Australia, v11 n1 p19-27 2001
A survey of 18 families in New South Wales (Australia) examined rural parent perceptions concerning early childhood services. Cost, inflexibility, lack of specific services, and distance were considered problems in service provision. Parent recommendations included flexible use of facilities, outreach services, local development of services, and sporting and cultural initiatives to entice professionals to rural areas.
