Cohen, Arie; Farley, Frank H. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
Cross-cultural validity studies for psychological instruments may result in overestimation of structure invariance due to some items being scored on more than one scale. This problem, called the common-item effect, is investigated with some data from the literature. (JKS)

Birenbaum, Menucha; And Others – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1986
The Endler S-R Inventory of General Trait Anxiousness was analyzed employing Smallest Space Analysis (SSA) and factor analysis. The SSA yielded a two-dimensional lattice partitioning the space into regions corresponding to the situations specified in the inventory. The factor-analytic results were similar but not as informative. (Author/JAZ)

Moore, Michael – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1977
The validity of a Hebrew version of the Illinois Course Evaluation Questionnaire was investigated in eighty courses in science and engineering at the Israel Institute of Technology. Factor analysis revealed a reasonable correspondence between empirical structure and that afforded by logic and intuition. (Author/JKS)

A measure for school principal perceived burnout was developed and validated through responses of 821 Israeli principals. Under factor analysis, three factors emerged: (1) emotional, physical, and cognitive exhaustion; (2) aloofness; and (3) deprecation of teachers, students, and parents. (SLD)
