Deegan, John, Jr. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1978
It is demonstrated here that standardized regression coefficients greater than one can legitimately occur. Furthermore, the relationship between the occurrence of such coefficients and the extent of multicollinearity present among the set of predictor variables in an equation is examined. Comments on the interpretation of these coefficients are…

Vasu, Ellen Storey – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1978
The effects of the violation of the assumption of normality in the conditional distributions of the dependent variable, coupled with the condition of multicollinearity upon the outcome of testing the hypothesis that the regression coefficient equals zero, are investigated via a Monte Carlo study. (Author/JKS)

Blair, R. Clifford; Higgins, J.J. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1978
The controversy surrounding regression methods for unbalanced factorial designs is addressed. The statistical hypotheses being tested under the various methods, as well as salient issues in the use of these methods, are discussed. The use of statistical computer packages is also discussed. (Author/JKS)

Thompson, Bruce; Borrello, Gloria M. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1985
Multiple regression analysis is frequently being employed in experimental and non-experimental research. However, when data include predictor variables that are correlated, some regression results can become difficult to interpret. This paper presents a study to provide a demonstration that structure coefficients may be useful in these cases.…

Krus, David J.; Krus, Patricia H. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1978
The conceptual differences between coded regression analysis and traditional analysis of variance are discussed. Also, a modification of several SPSS routines is proposed which allows for direct interpretation of ANOVA and ANCOVA results in a form stressing the strength and significance of scrutinized relationships. (Author)

Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1979
Factor scale scores are sometimes used as weights to create composite variables representing the variables included in a factor analysis. If these composite variables are then used to predict some dependent variable, serious theoretical and methodological problems arise. This paper explores these problems and suggests strategies for circumventing…
