The Six School Complex: A "Cluster" Provides Choice among Local Public Schools in Washington, D.C.
Jones, Judith Denton
Equity and Choice, v4 n2 p31-8 Win 1988
A cluster elementary school was formed when six schools in Washington, D.C., were in danger of closing. Spearheaded by the PTA, teachers, and administrators, this reorganization increased enrollments, improved the quality and diversity of education, and offered more educational choices to parents. It increased the social integration of the school. (VM)
