Presents the results of a study undertaken to determine the number and nature of the problems encountered by advanced undergraduate students in a French composition course. The primary objective of the study was to find an explanation for the repetition and frequency of student errors and to modify the content of the course. Presents quantitative results and discusses the conclusions that were reached. (Author/VWL)
