Of the 1,388 teachers responding to a discipline survey, 69 percent cited discipline as the most crucial of 10 current educational issues. Factors that have led to an increase in discipline problems are discussed, and data are included on the coverage given to discipline issues in undergraduate and graduate coursework. (IAH)
