Maternal Education and Maternal Behaviour in Mexico: Implications for the Changing Characteristics of Mexican Immigrants to the United States.
Uribe, F. Medardo Tapia; And Others
International Journal of Behavioral Development, v16 n3 p395-408 Sep 1993
A study conducted in 1987 and two subsidiary studies in 1983 and 1990 examined the relationship between Mexican mothers' schooling and their attitudes to childbearing and childrearing. Results indicated that increased maternal schooling was related to the reception of more prenatal care, greater use of contraception, and smaller size of families. (BC)
