The study investigated the effectiveness of a program designed to teach behavior modification procedures to normal siblings of autistic children. Siblings learned to use procedures at a high level of proficiency, and in a generalization setting, resulting in improvements in the behavior of the autistic children. (Author/CL)

This study used a self-management treatment package to teach three children with autism to play appropriately in the absence of a treatment provider.
