Communicative Development Inventories (CDIs) were collected from 669 British Children aged between 1 and 2 years. Comprehension and production scores in each age group were calculated. This study explored the development of verbal behaviors of infants during two mother-infant games. The verbal behaviors produced during games were compared with the results of language tests administered during experimental sessions.
