Hand Test and Rorschach variables significantly differentiated two subgroups of aggressive and nonaggressive alcoholics. The aggressive group was characterized as hostile and impulsive. The predictor variables that emerged have practical value for recognizing the potential acting-out alcoholic. (Author)

Data indicate that the Child Abuse Potential-Inventory can distinguish a group of "at risk" individuals from a group of nonabusive subjects. However, the variability in Inventory scores of "at risk" subjects suggests that identification of individuals based on Inventory scores would not be warranted for this sample. (Author)

Presented are normative data, collected on an unselected sample of 302 seven- and nine-year-old children, for the Missouri Children's Behavior Checklist. Determined the utility of the Behavior Problem Checklist (BPC) with preschool children. Found the BPC sensitive in differentiating clinical from nonclinical groups. Findings suggest that the Behavior Problem Checklist, although not specifically designed to assess preschool age children, may be effective with this population. (Author)
