College relations personnel can no longer afford to ignore the factors which attract college grads to employers. Top-notch college students may be less impressed by traditional recruiting incentives as they research and prescreen employers. The data clearly show that business graduates receive job offers earlier than arts and science graduates and experience the lowest incidence of unemployment. However, the differences among unemployment rates found five months after graduation may not be large enough to make the business major significantly preferable. (Author)
