Entering college freshmen were administered the Mooney Problem Checklist during summer orientation. The problems endorsed by students who later sought counseling were compared with the problems endorsed by students who did not seek counseling. Few between-group differences were found. (Author)

Goal of study was comparing alcoholic beverage buying habits of University of Delaware students with those of students at other colleges. Random sample of 639 was drawn from 13,000 undergraduates and interviews conducted. Drinking at Delaware was similar to that at other schools. Seniors spent significantly more on alcohol than freshmen. (Author)

Whether graduate students' income sources differ by sex was studied at a large midwestern university on the basis of a stratified random sample. The stability of personality types as assessed by a person's major field at graduation and by high-point VPI code as an employed adult is demonstrated for intervals of 10 to 35 years for 884 men and women. The concurrent validity of the VPI for employed adults is also substantial. (Author)

The results of the California Psychological Inventory, the Survey of Study Habits and Attitudes, and the Mooney Problem Check List for short-term clients, long-term clients, and nonclients were compared. Results supported the usefulness of the Mooney in a relatively normal setting. (Author)
