The workshop improved participant attending behavior, sensitivity and listening skills, ability to give and receive feedback, and appropriate regulation of affection needs in interpersonal relationships. (Author)

This study investigated the usefulness of pre-recorded counseling intervention with students in order to answer such questions as: How is the technique best implemented? With whom? Under what conditions? What outcomes might be expected? It was concluded that the merit of the Encountertape program has yet to be proved. (Author)

Randomly sampled students (N=287) indicated the Help Line at the University of Nebraska significantly helped with their personal and informational needs. Perceptions of Help Line's purposes fell into two groups: informational versus personal. The two groups had radically different call rates. Advertising procedures are also discussed. (Author)
