Factor analytic convergence of Wiggin's MMPI content scales and the author's unpublished Differential Personality Inventory (DPI) were studied. Item Subtlety and Face Validity in Personality Assessment.

Presented a distinction between concepts of face validity and item subtlety. Trait categories were differentially accessible to individual judges.
