Two studies were undertaken to determine systematically how preventive behaviors associated with health, accidents, property loss, and financial loss are interrelated. The decision to return a man to combat duty was found to be related to biographical variables, and the nature of these relationships were found to have significant reliability. Also, evidence suggested that biographical variables were salient depending on whether the diagnostic group was character disorder or neurotic. (Author)

Negative affect and negative affect reciprocity appear to be robust properties of marital interaction, and they also have been found to discriminate satisfied from dissatisfied marriages.
