Regression analysis revealed that a reliable estimate of the field-analytic disposition could be derived from a composition of scores on the Gottscaldt, Space Relations, Street Gestalt, and Perceptual Acuity tests. (Author)

Scores from 94 psychiatric and neurological patients on the 11 subtests of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale and the Halstead-Reitan Category and Finger Tapping tests were used in a factor analysis. The Category Test is not particularly sensitive to all types of brain pathology. (Author)

Compared the performance of Caucasian kindergartners (N=60) on the Stanford Binet, the Leiter International Performance Scale, and the Metropolitan Achievement Test. Results confirmed that the LIPS measures mental traits similar to the SB, although some scores were different. The LIPS is especially useful with hearing or speech impaired children.…

Performance was better for children above six years of age and better in Spanish than English. It is suggested that the Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test never be used to assess the general intelligence of Mexican American children, because it likely underestimates their ability. (Author)
