The study found that counseled students graduated at a higher rate within four years and use of either service was associated with a reduced rate of leaving in bad standing, grade point average below 2.0. The results define a potential accountability basis for these services in terms of educational outcomes. (Author)

Asian-American students in the 1966 freshman class were studied over a four-year period to determine usage of mental health services. Asian-Americans underutilized the campus psychiatric service but significantly overutilized the Counseling Center. Possible reasons related to the Asian-Americans' subcultural values explain these findings. (Author)

Undergraduate students (N=40) were classified as either judgers or perceivers based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and enrolled in six study skills classes characterized by more or less structure. Results indicated groups were equivalent prior to the course but afterwards judgers used study skills and attitudes more than perceivers. (Author)
