Strong Vocational Interest Blank and Kuder Occupational Interest Survey Differences Reexamined in Terms of Holland's Vocational Theory
O'Shea, Arthur J.; Harrington, Thomas F., Jr.
Journal of Counseling Psychology, 19, 5, 455-463, Sep 72
This study interpreted a factor analysis of like-named scales in terms of Holland's theory of vocational choice. The Holland system facilitated the naming of the factors and provided possible explanations of low correlations between like-named scales. Finally, the results lent support to Holland's categories of occupational activity. Comments by Layton and Borgen, as well as a rejoinder, follow. (Author)
