Examined counselor trainees' (N=78) preference for structure in supervision as moderated by level of experience, reactance potential, and the content of supervision. Found beginning students preferred the structured supervision and preference for advanced students was moderated by reactance and content. For relationship content, found that advanced students high on reactance preferred low-structure supervision. (Author/ABL)
