Effects of Occupational Information on Personal versus Provided Constructs: A Second Look.
Neimeyer, Greg J.; Leso, John F.
Journal of Counseling Psychology, v39 n3 p331-34 Jul 1992
Conducted study which supports and extends findings suggesting the differential impact of occupational information on use of personal, as opposed to standardized, vocational constructs. Decrement in vocational differentiation occurred only when participants (n=85) were asked to evaluate occupational alternatives along standard set of vocational constructs; no such decrements occurred when they used their own personal constructs.
