A pilot project in education for mental health administration at Wayne State University is described and evaluated. The one-year curriculum was continuously refined, based on studies conducted by the project staff and project evaluation data. Project goals and processes to meet them are outlined. (MSE)

The individualized approach described here is seen as significant in its avoidance of the conflict between social work education for social change, for service to individuals, or for development of general skills. Interns were involved in all educational decisions and graduated prepared for various careers. (Editor/JT)
