Olaussen, Bodil S.; Braten, Ivar – Journal of Experimental Education, 1998
Examined the latent structure of the Learning and Study Strategies Inventory (LASSI) (C. Weinstein, D. Palmer, and A. Schulte, 1987) with two samples of 349 Norwegian college students. Identifies three latent constructs in a modified model and demonstrates the cross-cultural generalizability of the LASSI. (SLD)

Shen, Jianping – Journal of Experimental Education, 1997
The factorial validity of four models of conceptualization of educational goals as a construct was studied through the confirmatory factor analysis of empirical data from 1,134 education faculty members. Results support a four-factor model, with dimensions of academic, vocational, personal, and social goals. (SLD)

Olivarez, Arturo, Jr.; Tallent-Runnels, Mary K. – Journal of Experimental Education, 1994
The latent composition of the Learning and Study Strategies Inventory for High School (LASSI-HS) was studied through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis of results from 367 ninth-grade students. Evidence supports a three-factor model. Interrelationships among the constructs are examined, and use of the instrument is discussed. (SLD)
