Quality of Teacher Education and Nonteacher Education Graduates: Fact or Artifact?

To examine the quality of future teachers, researchers investigated differences in academic achievement between teacher education and nonteacher education graduates, comparing overall grade point average (GPA) for several years. Results indicated no significant differences between groups in overall mean GPA or in mean GPA for selected general education courses. (SM)
