Investigates the role of context in two forms of recognition memory. The first of these involves conscious memory, the second, which may or may not include conscious memory, is manifested by an improvement in performance which occurs when words are repeated in a variety of perceptual recognition and classification tasks. Examines the importance of context in the processing of negative statements and its influence on the latency components of negative sentences.
