This study focuses on an instrument that appears useful for career guidance or job assignment purposes--the Biographical Data Blank. Responses of three groups of engineers (holding research and development, management, and nonengineering positions) to a life history questionnaire were analyzed. Results indicate that groups could indeed be differentiated using response patterns. (Author)
