Emploi du creole comme langue d'enseignement et decreolisation en Haiti (The Use of Creole as Language of Instruction and Decreolization in Haiti).
Valdman, Albert
Language Problems and Language Planning, v10 n2 p115-39 Sum 1986
Suggests that Haitian Creole is subject to decreolization, characterized by movement toward French forms. Linguistic conflict and ambivalence on the part of both the bilingual elite and monolingual creole-speaking masses are held responsible. Opposing trends in language standardization and their implications for education are discussed. (Author/MSE)
