Semantic Errors as Neuropsychological Evidence for the Independence and the Interaction of Orthographic and Phonological Word Forms.
Miceli, Gabriele; Capasso, Rita
Language and Cognitive Processes, v12 n5-6 p733-64 Dec 1997
Notes that prior assumptions that writing requires phonological mediation has been questioned due to the observation that on tasks requiring the production of spoken and written responses on the same naming attempt, some aphasic subjects produce different words. The data suggest that phonological and orthographic word forms can interact. (53 references) (Author/CK)
