Addresses these questions in terms of the adult learner: (1) what is the relationship between writing and learning? (2) is the decline in writing skills a particular problem for the adult learner? (3) can writing be used as a teaching method to enhance learning? and (4) what are the implications for the adult educator? (JOW)

Although most of adult learning is not formal, adult education focuses primarily on formal schooling. To help resolve the paradox, the author suggests an approach to nonformal adult education using interpersonal learning resources and natural learning. (MF)

Comparing goal-oriented v human relations-oriented management theories, it becomes apparent that effective leadership is determined by flexible approaches appropriate to the given situation. For trainers, this "effectiveness dimension" encompasses both the achievement of learning goals and the maintenance of human relationships with learners. (SK)
