Greetings from Poland
Burczyk, Krystyna
Mathematics Teaching, n224 p27-29 Sep 2011
In this article, the author discusses the creativity of origami and discusses a model she designed in May 2008 in Freiburg at the 20th International Origami Convention of Origami Deutschland. The model resulted from her investigation of a geometric model that exposes the centre part of a square paper sheet. The base model of the series called "Greetings from Poland" is based on the cube structure. Models belonging to the "Greetings from Poland" series have been shown as part of the Origami Workshop at the 28th National Conference of the Polish Association of Mathematics' Teachers--SNM--in Radom, Poland in 2008 and at the 9th Outdoor Origami Meeting in Krakow, Poland in 2010. The author describes how to make a module. (Contains 6 figures and 13 photos.)
