Evaluated the Counseling Expectation Inventory (CEI), designed to measure prognostic expectation. Participants were clients (N=200) and counselors (N=19) from six college counseling centers. Results suggested convergent and discriminant validity but evidence for construct validity was weak. Improvements in the CEI are needed before it's used in future studies. (Author/JAC)
