The findings excerpted from a paper indicate that student involvement is moderately associated with organizational complexity, faculty strikes, and increased tuition and fees. Multilateralism (independent third party involvement in the faculty union bargaining process) is more closely related to the service and consumer aspects of higher education than to public control.
