Online Submission
Project TRREE is a three-year, federally funded project conducted by the Kentucky Department of Education. The purpose of the project is to develop a systemic approach to increase the number of highly qualified special education teachers with a focus on recruitment of linguistically, culturally and ethnically diverse educators. Taskforce members reviewed and discussed the latest in educational research. The webliography can be found on the Project TRREE website located at http://edtech.tph.wku.edu/~trree/. Participants then reorganized into groups of their choice to develop action plans for the three goal areas: recruitment, preparation and retention. Appended are: (1) Implementation Team Plan for the Recruitment of Special Education Teachers; (2) Implementation Team Plan for the Preparation of Special Education Teachers; and (3) Implementation Team Plan for the Retention of Special Education Teachers.
