From the results of this pilot study it was suggested that intellectual abilities of epileptic children as measured by the verbal WISC and visual perception as measured by the Frostig are both influenced by the same contingencies. (Author)

Using 60 subjects, aged five to eight, this study assessed the magnitude of relation between deaf children's perceptual motor development, measured by the Developmental Test of Visual Perception, and their language development. The techniques of meta-analysis were used to integrate statistically the findings from 31 studies on the relationship of auditory-visual integration and reading achievement. A total of 146 correlations were collected and aggregated across assessment procedures, reading skills, grade levels, and subject characteristics. (Author/SJL)

Elementary school boys in a program for the emotionally disturbed were administered the Revised Beery and Bender-Gestalt. A significant correlation of .73 between age-equivalent scores was obtained. Although mean scores did not differ significantly from one another, scores were quite varied. The implications of such variability are discussed.…
