Perceived Job Characteristics and Job Satisfaction: An Examination of Reciprocal Causation.
James, Lawrence R.; Jones, Allan P.
Personnel Psychology, v33 n1 p97-130 Spr 1980
Results of this study supported the position that higher-order job perceptions and job satisfaction are reciprocally and dynamically related, where variables representing one construct reflect causal influences of the other construct. While the job perception-job satisfaction relationship appeared to be reciprocal, it did not appear to be symmetric. (Author)
