The Effect of Test Instructions, Test Anxiety, Defensiveness, and Confidence in Judgment on Guessing Behavior in Multiple-Choice Test Situations
Bauer, David H.
Psychology in the Schools, 8, 3, 208-215, Jul 71

Individual students interpret the same instructions in different ways, and these differences, in turn, result in variations in behavior reflected in test scores. (Author)
