The policy of the Rehabilitation Services Administration is to encourage research and demonstration projects to involve users in appropriate roles in order to assure greater use of findings. From June 1972 through June 1975, the authors conducted an evaluation of the National Research Utilization Specialists (RUS) Demonstration Program. This five-year program installed an RUS in nine state vocational rehabilitation agencies to test the value of this innovative job function for getting new knowledge put to practical use. (Author)
