Myth Making in Legislative Advocacy.
Collier, Virginia
School Administrator, v53 n7 p12-13,15 Aug 1996
A Texas superintendent debunks six legislative advocacy myths. Actually, superintendents have more political clout than board members. They should work with legislators even when the state legislature is not in session, communicate effectively by telephone, work with "noninfluential" legislators, influence the state education commissioner's positions, and actively advocate for children's well-being.
