The Road to a Baldrige Award
Holliday, Terry
School Administrator, v66 n7 p30-34 Aug 2009
The author, who is a superintendent of the Iredell-Statesville Schools in Statesville, North Carolina, discusses how his school district has obtained a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Along the journey to the Baldrige Award, the author shares his experiences and many turning points he and his cabinet members encountered. The author stresses that the job of superintendents is to increase the successes and decrease the failures the adults in the schools experience, so they, too, do not lose their passion for learning.
